Voice of Ituri (VOI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing peacebuilding in Ituri through rigorous academic research, strategic media engagement, diplomatic advocacy, and innovative approaches to conflict resolution.
We serve as a platform that informs, connects, and mobilizes communities, young leaders, and members of the diaspora around solutions that contribute to a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous future.
At VOI, we believe that sustainable transformation begins when people are empowered with knowledge, equipped with leadership skills, and united around a shared vision for progress. Through dialogue, research, and civic engagement, we help communities address challenges while creating opportunities for lasting impact.
Every community has a story. Voice of Ituri was born from a belief that the future of Ituri can be shaped not by conflict and division, but by dialogue, leadership, and collective action.

The Reality We Faced
For decades, communities across Ituri have experienced challenges linked to conflict, displacement, limited opportunities, and social division. These realities have affected livelihoods, weakened trust, and restricted opportunities for many young people.

The Need for a New Voice
Despite these challenges, Ituri remains rich in culture, resilience, talent, and potential. There was a growing need for a platform that could encourage constructive dialogue, promote informed public discourse, and empower citizens to become active participants in shaping their future.

The Birth of Voice of Ituri
Voice of Ituri was established to serve as that platform. Through research, advocacy, media engagement, and civic participation, VOI works to amplify community voices and promote solutions that contribute to peace, development, and social transformation.

Today, VOI continues to engage young leaders, communities, researchers, and members of the diaspora in efforts that promote peacebuilding, leadership development, and evidence-based solutions for a stronger and more prosperous Democratic Republic of Congo.
